The whole house was great, and it had everything we needed. The woman was really nice. We didn't speak English, but we managed to sort everything out. I paid just 24e a night. The only downside is that it's a bit far from everything.

The village is small and family-friendly, and makes a good base for a short drive to both the Ionian and Tyrrhenian coasts. Casa Soprano da Anita lives up to its name, with a superior, almost sovereign feel, and it’s worth a yearly subscription. The house itself was spotless and carefully furnished, with art on the walls made by Anita herself and everything we could need. Her kindness and attentiveness made it feel like home, even while we were on holiday. A unique experience.

Getting around by car was fine, even though the house is outside Messina. Anita was extremely kind and helpful. The house is laid out over several floors: living room and bathroom downstairs, two bedrooms above, one with its own bathroom, and a small terrace with a laundry area at the top. There are air conditioners in both bedrooms and the living room, which opens onto the spacious, comfortable kitchen. It was clean and comfortable, just what we needed, and really good value for money.
