We had a lovely stay at Pompei b&b. It’s close to the bus stop in town, and the air conditioning was nice to have on a hot summer day. There are lots of places to eat a short walk into town. When we left, Mr Alfonso kindly took us to the train station. We’d stay here again.

The room, facilities and owner/manager Salvatore are incredible value. He also helped me arrange the next part of my trip, and I liked the hostel enough to extend my stay. My humble opinion on the reviews: some people may expect hotel services from a hostel, or may not have read the disclaimers and notices before booking.

The room was clean and large for the price, and the reception staff were polite and helpful. They explained where to go for entry and how to get to the city center. The place is well situated for both the ruins and train station. The floor was cold, at least in February, so flip-flops or thicker socks would come in handy.

A simple place to sleep if you’re not after much luxury. The ruins are a five-minute walk away, while the center of Pompeii takes about 15-20 minutes on foot. It’s easy to reach from Napoli on the circumvesuviana train. Rooms are clean and have air conditioning and heating, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bathroom is a little small, but works fine.

The room had a sweet, homey feel and was clean and lovely. It’s also good value for the quality, and we loved it. Handy location for the Pompei historical site.
