Very disappointing. We were a family of four with a three-year-old and an eight-month-old, and were charged €7 for the baby’s breakfast. He didn’t eat anything from the restaurant, just sat with us at the table. When we asked the receptionist, they said the charge was per person regardless of age or whether anyone ate. That’s ridiculous. Breakfast wasn’t served on the hotel premises. The restaurant they sent us to was a two to three minute drive away, and it didn’t even have a baby chair. Of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip, this was the only one that charged for the kids’ breakfast.

The hotel is just a couple hundred metres from the Pompeii archaeological site, which is about its only real draw. I’d requested a ground-floor room because I was travelling with my dog and elderly mother, who can’t manage stairs. The room they showed us was tiny, with small windows set so high we couldn’t look outside. It was also missing a toilet seat. We asked them to fix it, but they declined. They offered the other ground-floor room instead, but its toilet was missing a seat too. Breakfast was poor, and trains passing just a few metres above our room made a lot of noise. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The rooms were fantastic and very clean, and the price was quite reasonable for a place right in central Pompeii. We rode here on our motorcycle and found a great parking area just outside the main reception. The only drawback is that the rooms are on the first floor and there’s no lift, but it’s still a great place to stay.

They gave us a room with a toilet we couldn’t use. The hotel admitted they already knew about the problem, but said they couldn’t offer another room. They didn’t provide any compensation either.

It’s one of the few places really close to the pompei scavi train station, and you can walk to both the station and Pompei easily. Breakfast was simple but good. The only downside is the stairs up to the room, so it may not suit anyone with mobility issues.
