Visaya B&B

The hosts, Rizza and her husband, were attentive and went out of their way to help. I stayed at Visaya for two nights in April 2023 and would love to come back with my family. The place was clean and cozy, with a nice view, good internet, roomy parking, and a delicious breakfast. Getting there from Florence by train and bus was easy, and late check-in was handled well.

The room was very clean and orderly, with a basic setup: a low bed, desk, two-door closet, full-length mirror, and patio. The bathroom was modern with a standard Italian corner shower, though the complimentary shampoo bottle was nearly empty when I arrived. The building has no sound insulation, so voices and movement carry even between floors. Someone played loud music until 10:30 PM during my stay. Wi-Fi took about a minute to appear in the network list, and the connection was very slow, around 6 Mb/s down and 11 up. I had to ask twice for it to be rebooted. It worked much better from the first floor than from the upper floors where the rooms are. This is a simple, affordable B&B, so keep expectations modest. I stayed four nights. Parking is on grass about 50 meters behind the building. There’s a sign on the gate but none on the door, so at first it wasn’t clear whether to knock or enter. The front door is always locked, so you need to arrange your arrival time with the proprietor. He showed me how to unlock the gate, front door, and my room, then pointed out the kitchen breakfast setup. Breakfast was sparse: one espresso capsule, one wrapped pastry, and a shared plate with a few dry toasts and jelly packets. Juice, water, and milk were available in the fridge. I can’t recommend the place.

The room was spotless, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was perfect, and the owners were truly willing to help with anything. Thank you so much!

Friendly service, nicely arranged rooms, and parking very close by. A great place to stay.
