A memorable agriturismo in the Tuscan hills: iconic views, excellent food, a swimming pool (call ahead to check if you can use it), and friendly animals. The drive up is part of the experience, so go slowly, honk before turning, and take it easy. Great for kids and adults alike. Love it!

We had a fantastic birthday party with our group of 16 in the private villa Casalta. It’s an absolutely magnificent place to stay. Thanks so much to Caterina and everyone else for being so hospitable and easy to communicate with. We felt like part of a lovely Italian family. Grazie!

We didn’t stay at the property, but we did go horseback riding with Katerina (sp?). The ride was amazing, and she was a phenomenal instructor. My husband and I had ridden a few times before, but the kids were new to it and loved it. The price was perfect, and I highly recommend spending a few hours on this while in town. The farm animals are cute too.

We spent two weeks here with our two small kids in early autumn, right at the end of the season, which gave the place a nice, quiet feel. The owners and staff were very friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed some walks nearby and day trips to Florence and Pistoia. The food was lovely, though we still can’t get used to the saltless bread, but that’s Italian.

The accommodation is nice, the view is amazing, and the food is very tasty. The staff are polite and helpful. The only downside is the road up, because it’s steep and narrow. Still, it’s a nice place to stay.
