Elly's B&B

A friend arranged for me to stay at this B&B while she hosted me for her wedding. The owner was kind, helpful, and happy to meet all my requests. My room was cute, clean, tidy, and had every comfort. Breakfast was at a nearby pastry shop, which was very good, with friendly and kind staff.

I only stayed one night, but it was a pleasant visit. Getting around was easy on foot or by public transport, thanks to the B&B’s strategic spot in Portici. The room had everything I needed and, above all, was really clean. The owner was very helpful. I’ll be back at the first chance.

The rooms are beautiful, but I strongly wouldn’t recommend staying here. The window looked straight at a wall, and we were basically in a basement beside a subway station, so sleeping felt like being on the subway. A gate made noise constantly through the night as cars came and went. They said we could use the kitchen, but when the owner saw us using it on camera, he stopped us and said it was unsanitary because another guest was staying there. Breakfast was supposedly provided by them, but actually came from a bar about 200 meters away. It was a croissant and, at most, a glass of wine, which was a very poor offering and really annoying. I’ve never seen anything like it elsewhere. I’d recommend staying at a hotel.

Don’t let the outside of the building put you off. The rooms are heavenly, with three gorgeous, brand-new rooms in this beautiful Portici B&B, each with air conditioning and a TV. Breakfast is brought in the morning, based on what you ordered the night before and picked up from the pastry shop. We paid €60 per room for Ferragosto, August 15th. Definitely worth a try!
