Villa San Gennariello B&B

The view from the roof terrace is breathtaking, and the garden, rooms, and house are all lovely and tastefully decorated. The owners’ family is very nice and helpful, and Nonna’s breakfast was extraordinary. Portici is a handy base for getting around by public transport. We found the moovit app helpful for using it efficiently, and Ercolano Scavi is only a short walk from the B&B. We recommend staying here.

I loved the place and the owners, who were charm personified. It has a relaxing old world feel, and Naples is just a short train ride away. A great spot if you want to see the ancient site of Herculaneum and enjoy walking, since much of the area lies in the foothills around Vesuvius. Just delightful.

The hosts made us feel so welcome, and we were lucky to have a delicious dinner prepared for us by 'Mama'. This B&B has spacious bedrooms, lovely gardens, and beautiful common rooms full of antiques. It’s an oasis of genteel comfort, just right for couples or families. Highly recommend it.

The family running the place is lovely, and it’s a nice property, but hygiene was a serious concern. After the first night, we had bed bug rashes, the bathroom wasn’t clean, and there was dust in all the kitchen cupboards. Our ground floor room was also too noisy because it was next to the doorbell. The painful bed bug rashes ruined the whole experience.
