The view from our junior suite was fantastic, and there was plenty of space to unpack and relax. But at 900 euros a night, the room felt extremely basic and in need of an update. The small bathroom had no ventilation, so even with the door open the mirrors fogged completely. The toiletries were like Holiday Inn products, with no body lotion, and the sheets and pillows felt old. The pool was pleasant, with lots of space and sun loungers, which I appreciated. It advertised bar service during the main hours, but the bar never opened during our stay in the last week of August. Parking is available if you reserve it, and I’d recommend doing that since the area is busy. The location is great, within walking distance of Porto Cervo’s center. We had one meal at the restaurant, one drink at the bar, and breakfast three times. The restaurant food was fine but overpriced, 100 euros for two with no drinks or dessert. The bar had a great view and was good. Breakfast was decent but basic for the price, though the coffee was good and came quickly. Service was mixed. People gave the impression of wanting to help, but the manager was especially unhelpful and seemed to avoid guests. I was trying to get coffee in the room, and he kept having the receptionist tell me no instead of speaking to me, even though he was right there. His attitude seemed to explain a lot about the hotel's disrepair.

The pool is the highlight, with a fantastic view, but the rooms are a little dated. We found the in-house restaurant overpriced and disappointing, so I’d eat elsewhere. Most of the staff, apart from one or two people, were rude and standoffish, and not much help with suggestions or service. Porto Cervo itself wasn’t my favorite spot either. Courtesy costs nothing, but reviews do.

The bar and its airy balcony were nice places to relax, and the hotel is easy to reach and walk to and from, though the hill takes some effort. Taxi booking was well organized. Still, we probably wouldn’t return. For a price comparable to Hotel Cervo, this place felt much inferior. The room was old and shabby, despite a nice view, and we waited half an hour after arriving for the air conditioning to be fixed. The bathroom soaps and other products seemed like those from a two- or three-star business hotel for salesmen. At breakfast, my wife tried to take the fruit left on her plate back to the room, but two rude staff members stopped her at the dining room door and said she had to pay, even though breakfast was included. Nobody apologized. Room service also comes with a 15 euro extra charge.

We had a great three-night stay. Every staff member helped make it enjoyable, including getting us quick cabs to get around. There’s a good bar with a terrace for sunset cocktails, plus another bar by the pool. Restaurants and shops are just a short walk away. Amazing hotel, excellent staff, and a great location. Highly recommend it.

The bartender staff were kind and professional, and the view was beautiful, but the reception experience was shocking. At checkout, the dark blonde receptionist with glasses raised her voice again, insisting we were “four people,” which was correct because our booking was for four. There were no apologies at any point. It felt like a constant struggle to avoid being overcharged or scammed, and we’re well-traveled women who have never dealt with anything like this. Our problems began at check-in. The lobby was empty, but we were told the room wasn’t ready because there were “many people.” Nobody apologized; they just kept telling us to wait. After an unreasonable delay, we got one drink voucher and were still told the room wasn’t ready. On the first night, my friend was left at the airport because the hotel never arranged her requested taxi. The supposed service never called her, so she had to arrange her own ride. The next day, a dark-haired receptionist called her full name loudly across the lobby while trying to charge us for a taxi that never existed. That was a blatant breach of privacy and shockingly unprofessional. Instead of apologizing, she tried to pick a fight. Another day, after a dark blonde receptionist with glasses arranged an unnecessarily expensive van instead of a car for a ten-minute ride, we asked for her name. She lost control, yelled at us on the phone, then hung up. The taxi company told us the hotel chooses which car arrives when it calls. We later saw other reviews mentioning extra charges at every turn, including eggs at breakfast and €15 for an ice bucket. We also faced glares and attempts to add charges from the reception staff, who showed no professionalism. As a smaller complaint, the coffee was the worst we had on the trip, especially since we expected good coffee in Italy; coffee elsewhere was delicious. On the last day, the old, tiny elevator got briefly stuck. Sardegna is beautiful and we’ll absolutely return, but never to this hotel. Stay clear.
