B&B Il Tiglio

We ended up staying five days, though we’d booked seven, because my wife persuaded me not to leave after two. We practically ran away like thieves, and our vacation was ruined. The property was only passable and the bed was comfortable, but the large bathroom had an awkward, narrow shower. The ceiling fan was noisy and too weak, making it very hard to sleep. In all of S.Elpidio, it felt like every mosquito was in this place. The stated distances were false, especially the distance to the very inconvenient, poor breakfast bar, as well as the beach distance. Our room had an eight-door wardrobe, but only one door opened, so the two of us had to pile up our things, and there was no rod to hang jackets or shirts high up. The claimed “garden” doesn’t exist. He asked for the deposit a month early, then wanted the balance in cash as soon as I arrived. He seemed reluctant to give a receipt, and when I asked, he gave me one from a Buffetti book, which anyone can buy and tear up? I strongly advise against this place, especially for people on motorbikes. I also argued with one of his neighbors because I wanted to leave after two days.

We enjoyed our two-night mini break and would definitely come back. The location is very nice, about 500 meters from the seafront, and the owner is so kind. Breakfast is arranged at a bar near the apartments, where there’s a wide choice of items.

The rooms have a lovely, relaxing view, and the friendly owner was kind and helpful. The B&B is about 850 meters from the station, an easy walk. Towels and linens are provided, along with comfortable terrycloth slippers. You can have breakfast at the B&B or at either of two partner bars. This was probably the cleanest, freshest-smelling B&B I’ve ever come across.

Il Tiglio shows the owner’s kindness and eye for detail. From the center, you can reach the sea, the square, and all the shops you need in just a few minutes. In the evening, there’s a wonderful view over fields and rolling hills down to the sea. I recommend it ❤️
