Casa Matilda

The shared kitchen and ground-floor lounge are handy, with plenty of free snacks, coffee, herbal tea, and soft drinks for breakfast or a quick bite. The B&B is clean, modern, and well kept, right in the center and only a short walk from the beach. The double rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are well laid out, though not especially roomy. A good fit for a short work trip or a couple’s stay.

I was so glad to find a room at "Casa Matilda" only a few days after arriving. The family-run place is just a short walk from the seafront, reached easily through a little underpass, and the location feels almost central. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, and the photos on booking really don't show how nice it is. Everything was spotless, orderly, and even smelled fresh, with thoughtful attention to detail. They accept dogs, too, so I'll be back for a few relaxing days with my furry friend. The welcome was wonderful. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!!!! Hope you're lucky enough to book here!

Breakfast bits, drinks, and snacks are available in the shared kitchen, and the hosts are warm and helpful. The property is spotless and carefully looked after, with very good value for the price. Fresh pastries or croissants each morning would make it perfect.

Being close to both the train station and city center was convenient, and the rooms have modern furnishings. Their upkeep, though, was poor. After a mix-up, we agreed to switch rooms because we understood the situation, but an employee shouted at us and was rude for no reason. Later that same evening, we found our friends' room had not been tidied or cleaned. We reported it, but nothing changed, even though we paid for half service. Such a small thing to lose guests over, which is a shame.
