Villa Alessia

The apartment is new and sits in a very nice, central part of the island. But the agency’s service was deeply unprofessional. We asked several times for the address and still weren’t given one, which made check-in difficult. Once we finally got there, one shower was completely clogged and unusable. The other leaked badly, and a bathroom door had come off its hinges. We kept calling the agency from the first day, but neither they nor the owners fixed anything. Previous reviews show they knew about the same problems before we arrived. It felt like complete disregard for customers.

The location and setting were lovely, and the residence could have made for a really positive stay. Instead, it was awful and I can’t recommend it. One shower wouldn’t drain at all. The other leaked so badly that it flooded the bathroom and soaked the door, which then wouldn’t close. There was dirt and damp everywhere. With six of us, we had to share the one usable shower and use only the hand spray, since the showerhead caused more damage. We reported the problem right away. A week later, after a supposed plumber visit, nothing had changed. I don’t know who came, since I wasn’t home then. The owners seemed completely uninterested and only showed up after five days. When we explained what was wrong, the lady laughed and said she’d fix it after our stay. It was embarrassing behavior. Reviews on Airbnb suggest these issues were already there before our visit.

There was lots of room to spread out, with plenty of beds across two floors. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there was also an outdoor barbecue. The price felt more than fair. There’s a pool and a hot tub too, though the hot tub was closed because of Covid.
