While we were on the road, the host kept calling and messaging because we hadn't replied right away. When we finally spoke, she yelled and used a very aggressive tone. Check-in was listed as 4 to 7 p.m. We spoke around 6:37, explained that we were already driving, and asked if she could wait until about 7:10 while we hurried over. She flatly refused and continued to be rude. Travel delays happen, and being ten minutes past the check-in time shouldn't lead to this kind of treatment. The way she spoke to us and her unwillingness to accommodate us made the experience very stressful and disappointing. Our experience with this property was extremely unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend it based on how guests are treated.

The location is fantastic for the views and the natural surroundings, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Service from Stefania was top notch. Some people who live there can be a bit noisy, though. They could be more considerate of the guests.

We had a wonderful three-night stay at Tenuta di Venere. It's a peaceful place to come back to after hiking, with nature all around and room to relax. Stefania and Andrea put a lot of work into making guests' stays special. The location also makes it easy to explore Porto Venere and Cinque Terre, though having a scooter or vehicle would make getting around the area easier. If the weather cooperates, I recommend Andrea's boat tour of cinque terre. We'd definitely return.

The people were so kind and helpful, and the hospitality was great. Our room was spotless and looked out over Porto Venere. A full 5/5 from me.
