Covo dei Saraceni

We were a group of five, including my 83 year old dad, and the staff treated him with so much respect and care. Covo created a wonderful experience for all of us. The location was a perfect 10 and my room was spectacular. The front desk team were warm and welcoming, and Antonella the concierge was a pleasure to deal with. Her recommendations were perfect. Canello the bartender was fantastic, friendly, and attentive, and even arranged a birthday surprise for someone in our group. Brunella at the pool bar was awesome too. We loved ending the day with a cocktail she mixed and served. I could go on and on about this place. The service was so exceptional I’d give it a 20 if I could. The best!

The pool is a beautiful highlight, with stunning views, and the ladies at the front desk were kind and helpful. We also appreciated the champagne and honeymoon note the hotel surprised us with, and the shower had good water pressure. The location is fantastic, close to restaurants, shops, and the ferry, which matters in a town with so many steps. A lot of the rest fell short of what I’d expect from a five-star hotel. Service was inconsistent. At the included breakfast, which wasn’t great, no one spoke to us until we asked for coffee. We had to pour our own water from bottles by the juice station, away from the tables. Poolside staff were friendly, but not very attentive. We often had to go to the bar to order food or drinks, water wasn’t included, and everything was charged. Staff came around, but didn’t check in often. The rooms felt old and dated, weren’t particularly clean, and the AC never got very cold. The walls were super thin, so it was loud. For the price, I expected nicer accommodations. The baggage arrangement also felt like a monopoly. We’d booked private airport transport, but the hotel wouldn’t let them help with our bags. We had to pay €10 per bag for a porter, and that fee didn’t include an escort. We had to walk separately. For us, the value seemed to be in the views and location rather than the hotel experience. That might suit someone whose priority is those things, but we wanted a more relaxing honeymoon with stronger service. We came straight from Villa D’Este in Lake Como, which cost more but felt worth the price, so that may shape our perspective. In Positano, perhaps this hotel is worth it for location alone, but if we came back, we’d likely try somewhere

The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices, and the beautiful pool area had a full bar with lots of lunch options. Positano’s views were amazing. Hotel Covo dei Saraceni had fantastic service and a great location. I’d definitely stay here again. Thank you for a memorable visit!

At Covo Dei Saraceni, every part of the service was done impeccably, from check-in and the concierge to the restaurant, bar, housekeeping, and room service. The staff went the extra mile to provide just about every service imaginable, and they planned several excursions for us that were all over the top. This was by far the most incredible trip we’ve taken. I’d recommend putting Covo Dei Saraceni on your bucket list. You’ll be glad you did!
