Villa Treville

I only wanted a Hugo spritz at the bar, but was told there’s a €300 admission fee just to enter, before paying for a drink. Nobody explained this ridiculous policy. If they’re trying to cash in on the location’s supposed connection to a second-rate streaming show, it’ll backfire. Hotel Costiera wasn’t even filmed here, they’re just playing up the myth. The view is like any other resort in Positano, and the place is barely walkable from the city center. Don’t bother.

This is still my favorite hotel on the coast. The price keeps going up, but I love the place and honestly think it’s worth it. They could probably charge even more and I’d still pick it. The team changes a lot, which isn’t ideal, but somehow they always have a really good crew. Whenever I come back, I’m glad I chose it again.

The views are breathtaking, and the whole hotel has a magical, scenic feel. It’s also beautifully decorated, with uniquely curated rooms. Some rooms involve quite a climb up stairs, so it may not suit people with mobility issues. We had no trouble, and the steps were worth the view. Service felt personal because it’s a small resort. Staff were friendly, spoke English fluently, and responded quickly in the group chat. They even replaced the shampoo and body wash for my mother, who has a severe gluten allergy. Housekeeping kept our room organized and clean, including morning service and turndown, and the shared areas were spotless. Maestros served delicious food and accommodated allergies and off-menu requests. Breakfast had a lovely spread as well as options from the menu. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the heart of Positano, and they offer a complimentary boat ride to the center on request. It’s peaceful while still easy to get into town. It’s very expensive, but this five-star resort exceeded our expectations. 5/5 for the rooms, service, location, cleanliness, food, value, and overall atmosphere.

I celebrated my birthday here in September 2024, and everything was fabulous. Villa Treville is beautiful, with exquisite taste, superb views, delicious food, and amazing service. A big thank you to the wonderful staff, especially the restaurant team. You guys and the chef are great! Monica
