Carlo made us feel like family from the minute we arrived. He helped with taxis, answered all our little questions patiently, recommended great food, and even waited for us when we got in after curfew. We felt so looked after throughout our stay. We spent ages on the balcony just taking in the view. It was more beautiful than we’d imagined, and the room was spotless and very comfortable. The location worked perfectly too: a quick two-minute walk to the main street’s shops and restaurants, and close to Fornillo Beach. There are stairs, as there are all over Positano. For the price compared with nearby places, it was absolutely worth it. We had an amazing time and would give it more than five stars if we could. Thank you, Carlo, for making our trip so special!

Positano hotels are expensive, so this was the cheapest place we could find for our travel dates, though I didn’t feel it was worth the money. The building is old, and the room was much older than I expected, below my expectations. The elderly couple who own it were very friendly, and a young woman on staff patiently answered our questions and requests. The location is fairly convenient, around halfway up Positano’s hills and about a 15-minute walk to the main bus station for Sorrento or Amalfi. Stairs are unavoidable here, but porters can carry luggage to or from the hotel for €15 per bag.

It’s a bit far from Positano beach, but this is a great pension for sleeping, with good rooms. They explain the rules and everything clearly, and it’s one of the cheaper pensions around Positano.

Carlo and his daughter were such friendly, helpful hosts. They went out of their way for us and had great suggestions whenever we asked about transport or things to do. The city view and ocean view rooms both have unreal, mesmerizing views, and the rooms are comfortable. The beach below the hotel is stunning and less busy than the main beach, with a public section and beach clubs to choose from. We found it easier to walk around to the main beach and then take the road back up instead of the stairs. It takes a bit longer, but you get to see more of Positano and it’s gentler on your knees!
