The views are stunning, but you really are right at the top of the mountain. It takes about 20-25 minutes by bus from downtown Positano to Ville Olimpo. The bus gets crowded, though this is the first stop going down, so you can usually get a spot. The stop is right outside the house. There’s also a little shop run by a sweet lady named Maria, with all the necessities. We stocked up and hardly needed to leave the villa. Salamita, the housekeeper, was very kind and helpful.

There’s so much to explore across the villa’s different levels, with lovely spots to relax. The rooms are comfortable and the views can’t be beaten. Angelica, the host, is friendly and easy to deal with. A spectacular, breathtaking place in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

The view was the only highlight for me. Cleanliness was the hardest part of the stay: there were bugs in both the room and kitchen, and the place wasn’t as clean as we wanted. Since it’s on the mountain, 30 minutes above Positano, I understand there may be more bugs. You need a car or bus to get around unless you walk down 200 stairs to a restaurant. We found La Frescella, and it was excellent, 10/10. The walk down the mountain was worth it for the food, and the owner Vincenzio made our trip so much better. Best food you’ll ever have!

The views from the location are unbeatable, and Mateo, the concierge, is attentive and helpful. The interior decor isn’t the place’s strong point.
