Maison Liparlati Positano

Rosa brought a delicious breakfast to our balcony every day and went out of her way to make the stay enjoyable. We spent five days at Maison Lapilarti and had a wonderful time. Our room was spacious, with a terrace looking over the Positano hills and sea. Host Andrea was welcoming and gave us tips on restaurants and places to see. Giulietta and Mark hope to return one day.

The breakfast was lovely, with warm croissants and eggs as well as deli meat, cheese, and fruit. Our room was large, the view was lovely, and the kitchenette had a fridge, microwave, sink, plus cooking and eating utensils. There was no counter space in the bathroom, the shower was small, and the terrace was shared by three rooms. Plants divided it into sections for each room, but you could still see your neighbors when they were outside. Grara Nuova, the local bus stop, is only a 30-second walk from the B&B, but it serves just the internal Positano bus system, which runs about once an hour. I prefer walking and didn’t want my movements dictated by the schedule, so I walked about a quarter to a third of a mile to the edge of Positano center. That meant using a busy, narrow road with no sidewalks. Cars drove fast in both directions, and in some spots the road was only wide enough for one to one and a half cars. Each time, it felt rather scary. I had to flatten myself against walls or wait between parallel-parked cars to let buses pass before carrying on.

Those morning breakfasts on the balcony really made the experience for me. The views, staff, and location were all amazing.
