We stayed for five nights, from Jun 30th to Jul 5th 2025, after booking through booking.com. This villa on the Amalfi Coast was a huge disappointment. The listing left out that it’s in a remote, difficult-to-reach spot, with a 10-minute walk down a steep hill from the parking lot. That’s a serious hassle with luggage or family, and porter service costs €10 per bag. The shuttle is limited to one round trip per day to the city center, so extra trips mean making difficult and costly arrangements yourself. The property was in poor shape. The bathrooms were dirty when we arrived, the showers clogged, ants were in the kitchen, and the living area had mosquitoes and bugs. No bottled water or basic essentials were provided, and there are no shops or restaurants nearby, so you have to bring water and groceries with you. The listing claims there’s an elevator, but there isn’t. Two rooms are on the third level and can only be reached by stairs, which is a major problem for anyone with mobility concerns. With the access issues, lack of nearby facilities, and cleanliness problems, this isn’t suitable for families with children. The listing photos also don’t reflect the actual location or condition. At $2,500 per night, it was nowhere near a luxury experience. For half the price, you could stay like royalty at a well-maintained place such as Hotel Buca di Bacco in Positano, with much better service, amenities, and location. We don’t recommend this villa unless the price is far more reasonable and the listing is updated with honest, complete information.
