I had a really good stay. The rooms are roomy and clean, and even though they’re basic, they have everything you need. It’s room only, but there are vending machines with hot drinks and snacks.

The owners were great and always available, and the prices are very affordable. The apartment is welcoming and well equipped, near San Carlo hospital, with a large parking area. The only drawback is getting there on foot if you don’t have a car. It’s at the top of a small hill, and the climb is very steep. Highly recommended.

We had a double room with its own bathroom, so don’t let the word "hostel" put you off. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the place is clean, quiet, and affordable. There’s parking, a lift for luggage, and a handy water dispenser. It sits on a hilltop among trees, with fresh, clean air. Nearby are a bar, tobacconist, bakery that also serves ready meals, greengrocer, and newsstand. Potenza’s lovely center is around a 40-minute walk for anyone used to walking, though parts of the way involve dealing with traffic. The city is mountainous and full of hills, so getting around on foot takes some stamina.

It’s a great base for people visiting patients at San Carlo hospital, and also works well for tourists or workers passing through Potenza. It’s extremely clean and very good value. Once you’ve tried it, you won’t forget it, and you’ll want to come back again and again.
