Hotel Garni Bernard

A nice spot to stay and unwind while skiing.

The breakfast was plentiful and really good, with both sweet and savory choices. The bathrooms and room were very clean, and the hotel is handy for the cable car, about 100 meters away. There's also a ski storage room in a side room. At about €50 per person per night, we were satisfied. The hotel and rooms are a little dated, but that's a minor issue if you're out skiing all day. The downsides were the small, noisy beds and a rather cold welcome. At checkout they just asked for payment without asking how the stay had been. If you're looking to spend less than at other hotels and aren't expecting much luxury or comfort, I'd recommend it.

The location is perfect, right in front of the slopes, and the room was clean with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast had a very good range of sweet and savory options, and the staff were kind and helpful. I needed to keep the room until 2 pm for work, and they let me. For the price, the quality is very good. I don't understand reviews criticizing the somewhat dated decor. At a two-star hotel, you can't expect the furnishings of a four-star one.

The location was excellent, and the price was reasonable. I spent a week here and highly recommend it. The staff were welcoming, always smiling, and happy to help with requests. Our room was very clean and well kept, and the food was plentiful, good, and offered plenty of choice.
