Wall Art Hotel

The room was clean and cozy, the staff were great, and the hotel itself was nice. Prices were okay too, and there was free parking. Recommended for a comfortable, pleasant rest.

The dining room was full of mosquitoes. I got bitten several times during dinner, which made the meal stressful and unpleasant. Breakfast was pretty decent, but a couple of hours later I had stomach and intestinal discomfort, so I’m concerned about how the food was prepared. The room wasn’t anything special, and a number of things were broken or didn’t work right. It was dusty, the light switches felt grimy, and the cleaning seemed rushed. The toilet had a “sanitised” strip on it, but I found a long hair underneath the seat when I lifted it. It definitely wasn’t mine, and it looked like no one had checked or cleaned under there. The lifts were scratched, dirty, and smelled strongly of sweat. The restaurant staff seemed disengaged, and when the restaurant was closed, the place felt neglected. There was a very loud bathroom fan and a toilet flush that kept making noise for quite a while. On windy days, something outside banged over and over, too. It’s clearly an old apartment complex turned into a hotel. The private-style entrance, without having to go through reception, might sound appealing, but some of the setup is awkward. There’s a kitchen inside a locked cupboard that guests can’t use, and some interior doors have been blocked so they can’t close. For a paying guest, the condition and cleanliness were frustrating and unacceptable. This was nowhere near a relaxing stay or the standard I’d expect from a hotel.

We stayed a couple of nights while touring Italy. The rooms were roomy and quiet, and the beds were really comfortable. Having air conditioning was the best part. Getting into town was easy, and we took a taxi a couple of times to see a couple of things on our bucket list.

The rooms are a decent size, and the bathrooms are nice.
