The huge mountains make for an amazing view, and you can clearly hear the river. The internet is very slow, though, and getting into the parking space is difficult.

I loved the old stone house, its period furniture, and how cool it stays in summer. But it’s right on the road, and the entrance is a steep, bumpy slope leading to a small parking lot in front of the house. There’s a lot of maneuvering, and pulling out onto the fast road feels dangerous. Cleanliness is essential. In my opinion, it isn’t suitable for children.

I can't understand the 8.5 rating on Booking.com. There were cockroaches and bugs all over, along with dirt and cobwebs. The room's wood was rotten, and bugs were coming out of the holes. I wouldn't recommend this rustic place to anyone until it's fully renovated.

Mr. Dario and his wife were so kind and helpful, and dogs are welcome. We stayed in the top-floor Lavanda apartment: a double bedroom, bathroom, open-plan living room with a sofa bed, and kitchen. The furnishings are tasteful, with period details, and the spot is quiet near the Toce River. The kitchen is charming, though not very practical if you want to cook anything elaborate. There's a small private lot next to the building, but the steep entrance, tricky maneuvering, and poor visibility onto the main road make it difficult to use. There's also a public parking lot nearby. Recommended.
