We already had our trip to Procida and the transfers booked, but Almalo cancelled our reservation after taking a deposit because they got a longer booking. They were rude and seemed not to care about the plans this left us with. Unreliable, inconsiderate and arrogant.

We slept so well, gently rocked by the sea, even when it rained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the interiors had such thoughtful details. Everything was very clean, and the panoramic terrace was the best part, with views of Procida at sunrise and sunset. It was a thoroughly relaxing stay in a houseboat that had everything we needed, and felt better than a hotel. We also booked electric bikes through the Almalo website for less than elsewhere. Alessia, Lorenzo and the whole staff were genuinely lovely and kind. Thanks so much, we’ll definitely come back.

I’d rent one of these floating houses again as soon as I can, even with the problems around it. The bar owner across the street ignores the PA system’s decibel limit, helped along by DJs who seem unaware of it. And there was a smell of human feces at sea for a long time, carried by the current in front of the houses. My understanding is that some boat owners discharge it into their toilets instead of collecting it in buckets and taking it ashore. Despite all that, I had a wonderful time on the houseboat. Thank you.

I’d never stayed on a houseboat before, and it turned out to be one of the best holidays I’ve had. You don’t get hotel-sized space, but it’s comfortable and has a private bathroom, air conditioning, mini-fridge, Smart TV, Alexa and very fast internet. I slept wonderfully, with the sea gently rocking the boat. Breakfast is included, with jams, Nutella, croissants and fruit juices. The location is one of a kind. The terrace has loungers, tables and armchairs, so it’s lovely for an evening aperitif or a drink after dinner. In the morning you can eat breakfast looking out at Mount Procida and Vesuvius. Thanks to Lorenzo, Alessia and their mother for making the stay so special.
