Villa Carcara

Breakfast was waiting for us each day in the historic courtyard, which was a lovely way to start. The catering team also served dinner on the first-floor terrace one evening so we could watch the spectacular view and sunset, and it was no trouble for them. Ignazio arranged our chef, whose service we especially appreciated. The property itself was amazing, full of history and atmosphere, with distinctive decor we loved. The large pool and the space around it were ideal for the ten of us to lounge and enjoy the view and warmth. A fabulous place for a holiday.

We opted for the onsite chef, and what a chef! Our family dinners every night were authentic and incredible, with everyone joining the clean-plate-club race. The accommodations were fantastic, and the villa gave our whole family lovely views and a great base for enjoying the property and all the nearby towns. There were more amazing things to do, see, and taste than we could count. 10/10, would recommend.

Ignazio was quick to reply and wonderfully accommodating, and Mario was always available at the property and super helpful. We spent seven days here as friends coming from Zürich, Paris, Hamburg, San Francisco, and Seattle, and we’d love to return soon. The villa sits in peaceful, picturesque Sicilian countryside, away from the hustle and bustle. There are lots of terraces and places to hang out, plus several kitchens and living areas, which suited our group perfectly. The attention to detail and taste throughout were outstanding. With so many of us, the many bathrooms were very convenient, the bedding was excellent, and the air-conditioning worked well and quietly everywhere. The pool was wonderful, especially since we were a bit farther from the sea.

The setting was gorgeous, and the host was very responsive. We held a small destination wedding at the villa in early October with family and friends, and couldn’t have asked for a more charming, picturesque, authentic Sicilian place. It felt magical, and we made special memories there. We hope to come back for another stay.
