Villa Luisa

Frederika was superb at check-in and check-out, and gave us useful travel tips. We liked having parking on site, even though it cost 15Euros, because we could get things from the car whenever we needed. There are only about 5 staggered spaces, so reserve in peak season. Since the lot is tight, you have to leave the key at reception so cars can be moved as needed. We were on the third floor in a cozy, bright, clean room with a balcony and a building view, with plenty of space between buildings. Carrying our luggage up made us sweat, but the AC was a welcome reward. Frederika said they planned to renovate this winter and add an elevator, which should help guests with walking difficulties or heavy bags. The shower was very small, though I could fit despite being fairly big. Water pressure could be better, and getting a comfortable temperature was a bit tricky. The room was cleaned daily and had soap, shower gel, and other amenities. We skipped breakfast, which was available for 7EUR per person, but ends at 9:30. There is NO WIFI in the rooms, only in the lobby. That didn't bother us much since we were out most of the time and had roaming on our phones, though I do think a router on every floor is an inexpensive thing hotels are now expected to provide. The room we had and its proximity to all the sights we wanted to see make this place recommendable. We even stayed one extra night. Hope to return and explore more.
