Hotel Rufolo

The Light Snack Restaurant was overpriced, with awful food and the worst service. Our drinks were forgotten, and the server took away the olive oil and basamico just after setting down the bread, which arrived after our food. The deep-fried seafood was bad: the shrimp still had its vein and feces-filled head, and the calamari was very chewy. The poke bowl was cold rice topped with cut vegetables and raw thunfish, with no taste or spice. A shame for Italian food.

We found a hidden gem at Hotel Rufolo. Positano wasn’t our vibe, so we left early and made a last-minute booking here. From arrival, we were treated with care, kindness, and hospitality. The staff showed us our room and explained its amenities and the hotel’s features in detail. We used the pool and on-site restaurant each day, and both the food and staff were impeccable. Some of the best food we had in Italy. If you want a relaxing stay, don’t hesitate to book at Rufolo.

I tried the bar outside in the garden for light meals. The view is amazing, and it’s a quiet spot away from the region’s intense tourist crowds. The food wasn’t anything special, but it was enough to meet the basics. With a view like that, the meal doesn’t need to be amazing to make you feel good. If it’s not bad, it’s fine.

We only came for a meal, so I can’t speak to the hotel facilities. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service. The food was very good, and the lemon cake was amazing. We sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful, beautiful view. I’d definitely recommend eating here.
