Villa Piedimonte

We stayed for a wedding, and it turned out way better than I'd expected. The rooms are really big for a hotel in Europe, breakfast was tasty with lots of choices, and the shuttle was easy and handy. The hotel has gorgeous views and a nice feel to it. It's dated, though, and the room decor could use a refresh. Still, a great option in Ravello if you're looking for a more budget-friendly stay.

Leaving early and finding another place to stay became necessary for us. The hotel wouldn't offer a refund when we raised the issues, citing its cancellation policy despite what we felt were misleading photos. The room looked nothing like what we'd booked. Floors were dirty enough that we couldn't walk barefoot, there were bugs crawling around, and we saw mold in the shower and corners. We'd been excited to visit Ravello, so this was a huge disappointment. The supposed “green terrace view” was just a poorly laid fake grass tarp over a surface, and it looked cheap. The room was uncomfortable and unsanitary, and management was unhelpful. I can't recommend this property.

The room was huge, with an equally large bathroom and a spa bath. The decor felt a bit tired, and it was quite expensive. But the location is perfect, with stunning views, and it's just a 10 minute walk into beautiful Ravello. There's also a shuttle into town if you don't feel like walking. Staff were delightful, breakfast was very good, and there's plenty of shaded parking.

We had such a good time here for our honeymoon. The villa is gorgeous, well managed, and peaceful, with breathtaking views of Ravello and the area. Our room was clean and roomy, and the bathrooms were really nice. The staff were friendly and full of useful information, and gave us several ideas for things to do and places to visit.
