Hotel Bisanzio

We found this a good mid-priced hotel, with breakfast included, in a peaceful neighborhood. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning, and the showers were nice. The staff were very friendly. The little elevator is a bit quirky, though. We could walk to everything we wanted to see, and the train station was about 15 minutes away on foot. There isn't really a bar, but cafes and bars are close by. We'd happily stay again.

A good base for seeing Ravenna's wonderful mosaics, which were even better than we expected. The hotel is central but tucked away somewhere quiet. Our room was nice and had air conditioning, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was good.

The lobby is elegant, and the reception staff were excellent. You have most of what you need here, but the rooms feel very dated and the Wi-Fi in mine kept cutting out. I used my own data instead. I'd stay again now that I know to expect an old-school hotel. To think of this as a four-star place, you have to go back a few decades.

Miguel really went out of his way to help us. Just before our Italy trip, my mom started having trouble walking and needed a wheelchair. We found one local place that had one, but they only spoke Italian and we didn't, so Miguel called them for us and arranged a ride to pick it up. Since we were going on a cruise, he even offered to try to return it himself if needed. Everyone was polite and helpful, and check-in went smoothly. The location was convenient too, we could walk almost everywhere. We had a great stay.
