La Spagnera

We loved spending a week here with the family. The farm is quiet and not far from Ravena, with guest rooms, a pool, a restaurant, playgrounds, and lots of animals, from ponies to chickens. Some wander freely around the grounds, keeping the kids entertained while the adults relax. The Adriatic beaches are about a 20-minute drive away. Nearly all the breakfast and dinner food comes from the farm, and it was amazingly delicious, including the desserts. Breakfast runs from 7 to 11, and dinner from 19:00 until late. The restaurant is open to visitors too and is full of locals every day. Host Kristina and the rest of the staff were friendly and did their best to make our stay pleasant. Our room was cleaned daily, the air conditioner worked great, and drinks, wine, dessert, and coffee were included with dinner.

The food was all homemade and absolutely delicious. The traditional, comfortable rooms and lovely pool were great, and there were plenty of animals for the children. It's about a 20-30 minute drive through the countryside to the beach if you prefer the sea to the pool. Thanks to Cristina and her team!

Loved the outdoor space, with its animals, pool, park, and playground for little ones. The rooms inside are really nice, too. It's a great place with amazing food, much of it produced there. Try the crostini or the fresh homemade pasta.

We were blown away by the hospitality from Cristina and her family during our four nights here in May 2019 with our 2.5-year-old and 7-month-old daughters. The location worked well as a base for San Marino, Ferrara, and Ravenna. The food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful, and the family-run agriturismo has plenty for kids to do, plus a farm-to-table restaurant on site serving breakfast and dinner. Our room had a queen bed, bunk beds, and enough space for our own Pack and Play. The large bathtub was ideal for bathing the girls. From the moment we arrived, we felt looked after. The owners' daughter shared her toys and played with ours every day. One morning, Cristina invited our older daughter to join a school group visiting the farm, where she got to tour, make pasta, plant seeds, and pet the animals. She had an amazing time, and we learned a lot about the crops and animals raised there. Cristina saved the pasta our daughter made and served it to her that evening with meat sauce. On our last night, the baby developed a high fever of 104. We called Cristina at 2 am asking for fever medicine, and she and her husband brought some over. They even offered to watch our older daughter if we needed to take the baby to the hospital. Luckily we didn't need to go to the hospital or find a pharmacy in the middle of the night, thanks to Cristina. We enjoyed visiting the nearby cities, but staying at Agriturismo La Spagnera was the highlight of our trip.
