Maison 26 - Luxury Suites

A charming room, with cats in the inner courtyard. A lovely way to stay centrally in Ravenna and save a little money.

The helpful hosts made our stay memorable. They gave us great advice on the local trains, which helped us take day trips by train and bus to Castel Bolognese and the Lamborghini Museum. Both were highlights. They also helped book a local taxi to the sea port on departure day. They were absolutely wonderful people. We stayed in the upstairs family room, which comfortably fit four adults, two older children, and an infant. The host kindly provided a crib. The skylight, which other reviews mention can be bright in the morning, is easy to close with the wall remote. Breakfast was at a cozy café across the street, with excellent food and outstanding coffee. A La Maison is right in the center of Ravenna. Piazza del Popolo is a short walk away for souvenir shopping, food, gelato, desserts, and a nearby store. The Dante Alighieri Museum is also within an easy walk. The accommodation was comfortable, the location fantastic, and we'd definitely choose this place again when visiting Ravenna. Highly recommended, especially for families.

Ravenna is a beautiful city, and it's easy to rent bikes at the train station and explore the surrounding area on bike paths. The place is quiet and centrally located, with a café across the street for breakfast. The staff there are friendly, though a bit overwhelmed. The establishment is nice and the room spacious, but there were four of us and no toilet in our room, so you have to go through the first room to get to it. There's a bedside table, but no outlet or extension cord to plug in a lamp. The Wi-Fi doesn't work, and the skylight wakes you at 6 a.m.

A great place to stay in Ravenna. Kids are very welcome, and the service is prompt, efficient, and courteous. The staff are cheerful and give excellent tips for seeing the city. Pet friendly.
