Bed and Breakfast Controtempo

I picked this B&B for a conference at Mediterranean University since I don’t have a car. It’s an 8-minute walk from the university, which was just what I needed, and the price was good. The host was kind and helpful, and went out of his way to accommodate me even though he didn’t have to. The property has been renovated recently, so the room and bathroom are both new. There are at least five separate rooms opening onto a shared corridor, much like a hotel. You can check in and out yourself using codes. The location is a bit off the way, but the start of the tourist area is about a 15-meter walk away. It’s downhill going there and uphill coming back because the city is built on a slope. The neighborhood isn’t the best. I’ve come to realize the city is a bit like that away from the seafront and main street. I’d recommend staying here if you need to be close to the university, as I did.

I’m from Mantua and only had two days in Reggio Calabria, unfortunately. The facility and service both deserve congratulations!

We had no trouble with parking, and the room was clean, fresh, and well cared for. The owners gave us a lovely, warm welcome, and the location was excellent.

The owner was professional, kind, and helpful, and the location was excellent. Our room was roomy and comfortable, and so clean it still had that fresh smell. Having air conditioning was a real plus, as was being able to get breakfast at the nearby café. Highly recommended!
