The view from the top-floor breakfast room is fantastic, with the sea, city and Etna all in sight. Breakfast is the usual Italian spread, mostly sweets. It would be nice to have more vegetables and eggs in the morning, though what they serve is still decent. The location is excellent, and the rooms are clean, with towels changed and cleaning done every day. A good choice for a short break 👍👍

The view was alright and it's near the station, but the room had mold and was dirty. Hygiene overall was awful, and the hotel badly needs an upgrade.

I expected worse after reading the comments, so staying here turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff were kind. I spent five nights here and it was fine. I liked it.

Handy for the ferry to Sicilia, right on the front line, and close to the beach. My single room barely had any fresh air because the window was tiny, but the AC worked fine. Okay for one night.

Breakfast on the rooftop terrace came with a brilliant view of Mount Etna and the Strait of Messina, and the coffee was pretty good too. The room was small and a little run-down, but clean. In January the bathroom floor felt warm, maybe there’s underfloor heating, which I appreciated.
