Palazzo Bibbi

We spent a week at Palazzo Bibbi as a group of six, using three rooms, and it was the best accommodation of our multi-city Italian trip. Francesco looked after us as concierge and host, and from the first day made our family feel welcome. We’ll miss his professionalism, eye for detail and charismatic personality. Chatting with him over breakfast each morning was a highlight. They could call it Palazzo di Francesco! The place felt like something from a fairy tale, small and well decorated, comfortable and close to everything, even though it isn’t advertised as a boutique hotel. Walking in felt high-end, with a fresh scent in every room, comfortable beds and large bathrooms. The electronic keys felt secure and worked every time, and physical keys were available too. August prices were very reasonable and worth every cent. Don’t let the graffiti on nearby streets put you off, Palazzo Bibbi is a hidden gem in Reggio Calabria. It’s within walking distance of Reggio’s promenade and two blocks from Corso Garibaldi, the main street for restaurants and shopping. We’re already planning to come back as soon as we can.

A cosy, quiet little hotel with modern, very clean rooms and huge beds. The staff were friendly, helpful and excellent. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh fruit and baked goods to choose from. I’d stay again.

We came all the way from Australia, and found the rooms and facilities clean and comfortable. Mr. Francesco was an absolute gentleman. His hospitality was amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Would recommend 10/10.

I needed a room quickly before travelling to Sicily the next day, and somehow this place appeared out of nowhere. The staff were all kind-hearted: Guiseppe, his son Bruno, Mr. Francesco, and even the housekeeper Ellie! The room was quality, breakfast delicious, and the whole experience really memorable.
