Hotel Royal Hills

The best parts were the service and the views outside. The rooms, though, were a mess. In room 301 downstairs, the lock failed and we got stuck outside until they gave us a master key. Once we got in, water was dripping from the ceiling, and they dealt with it by putting towels underneath. The shower was really crusty, and the bathroom doors had a huge gap below them. We were moved, but my friend and I had to share one bed despite paying for separate beds. The next room had shower doors that wouldn’t close properly.

The beds were faulty, and the room had a roof leak. It was in poor shape, and we were made to switch rooms late at night.

Fabio and Samanta were especially friendly and professional, and the staff in general were incredibly helpful. The hotel sits between Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, so getting to either by bus or car is easy. We also really enjoyed the superb breakfast and the views from the terrace, bar, and restaurant.

The bus stop right outside made it easy to reach Positano and other coastal towns, and the hotel was very budget friendly. The staff were welcoming and the service stood out. One evening we arrived after the bar had closed and asked whether we could still get drinks. The waiter sorted out everything we wanted and brought us a little snack board for free. We were blown away, thank you!
