The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, and the fixes they suggested didn’t help. It was also hard to get a clear, useful answer from anyone, especially when everyday problems came up. I left pretty disappointed with the management and wouldn’t recommend the residence. It didn’t meet basic standards for comfort or service.

The location and rooms were decent, but dealing with the service was frustrating. There was only one 9kg washing machine for three apartment blocks, and although there was a bigger dryer, we were allowed to use it just three times a month for our three-person apartment. Each use cost another €5. The towel visits were awkward too. On Fridays they came around 8:30, even though they knew we were Erasmus students starting work at 9:30. We had to hand over the towels ourselves, and they left the replacements on the table. On Tuesdays they woke us at 8:30 to clean and change towels, but wouldn’t let us stay inside because they said they couldn’t clean with us there. The place was spotless apart from the dust. And even though they had keys, they’d ring the bell for about five seconds, three times, before coming in.

The residence sits in a spacious, wooded park, and there’s plenty of parking. I stayed in an apartment that was both well equipped and practical. The staff are qualified and ready to help find a solution when you ask for something. Highly recommended. Exceptional.

Commenda di Rende is a lovely neighborhood for a short or long stay. The property stays clean and welcoming, and there’s secure parking for apartments of different sizes. The staff are friendly and always available. From my own experience living there, I’d definitely recommend it, even for a longer rental.
