Agriturismo La Turritella

The rooms have spectacular views, and Turritella makes its own wine, which tastes very good chilled, as well as fruit from the family farm. The food is excellent, and the owners are very accommodating. It's a family run, family friendly agriturismo, tucked a little away from the usual routes. There's a small pool for cooling off in the summer, and nights are quiet enough to sleep well. It's a good base for exploring the region and Sila national park, around a 10 minute drive from downtown Cosenza, the provincial capital.

Imma, Gigi, and Maria welcome you into their home so warmly, it really feels like staying with family. They pay attention to every detail, from the lovely breakfasts to lunch and dinner. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the pool is beautifully kept. The natural surroundings make it such a relaxing place. Everything was wonderful, and it was hard to leave. We hope to come back soon.

We loved the calm and fresh air here, away from the city's bustle. It's tucked into a valley among olive trees and fields, with a quiet atmosphere and a taste of simple local life. This agriturismo has the genuine feel of the Calabrian countryside. If someone wants a holiday village with air conditioning and asphalt everywhere, they may not appreciate what this kind of place is about. The food was plentiful, varied, and authentic. Fresh ingredients made the appetizer a lovely tour of local flavors. The first courses were well seasoned and tasty, with good sized portions, generous if you're used to eating well. The meat for the second course was tender and cooked just right. We enjoyed the house wine too. The owners were welcoming and attentive without hovering. Their kindness felt sincere, and you can tell they care about their work and making guests comfortable. Outdoors is simple but looked after, with shade and places to relax. The sun is strong in Calabria, but the gazebos and outdoor furnishings were enough, and we liked the rustic feel. The price felt fair for the quality and quantity, with a good balance of hospitality, food, and consideration for guests. We had a wonderful stay in every way and will definitely return, perhaps in fall to see the landscape change, and in summer to enjoy the pool and the warm welcome again. Thank you!
