Albergo Residence Fattoria Stocchi

We stopped at Fattoria Stocchi for one night while travelling from Sicily to Rome. It’s a quiet spot just off the highway, and Cosenza is about a 15-minute drive away. My children really enjoyed the seasonal pool, and the staff were so kind and helpful. The room was simple, very clean, and had what we needed. There’s also a nice restaurant, la locanda, just a few steps away. I’d stay again if I needed to. Thanks again to the great staff!

The staff member on the night shift was the only person who could manage a few sentences in English, and on my third day he suggested I leave my key at reception so I wouldn’t lose it. I hadn’t lost it in the first two days, so I was pretty sure I could keep that streak going. Communication was a problem in general, and so was the food. Breakfast is included and was just okay, with fruit available for free during breakfast. But when I took a pear outside those hours, they added 2 euros for it to my final bill. Dinner was poor too: the pasta had no taste, and the tartufo was so hard I took it to my room to thaw. It still tasted like nothing. I asked them to preheat my coffee cup, but the coffee was still only lukewarm. I wouldn’t have paid for dinner or that pear myself if my university hadn’t covered the costs. This didn’t meet the Italian standard I expected.

Breakfast was included, and the hotel was nice.

They were wonderfully welcoming. A perfect stay.
