Marconi Hotel

The breakfast was tiny. The sink never got properly hot, and the shower head was loose. Also, having to pay for the minibar feels strange in a 4-star hotel.

The staff were friendly, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to travelers. We stayed here on the way to the nearby national parks, and our room was tiny and so humid that the floors and towels felt damp. You could hear everything along the floor. The doors rattled when the elevator opened or another door shut, so I kept waking up at night thinking someone was trying to get into my room.

I’m stuck in Italy waiting for documents the hotel kept, and they aren’t answering my emails. They say they sent the documents, but there’s no registration paperwork. I’m not sure they really sent them, or that they treated it as a priority. Now I have extra costs and no way to charge those back. They’ve been unwilling even to try to solve a problem they caused their customer. I’m very disappointed. The staff seem to pretend they can’t speak English and act lazy, and the breakfast is terrible, just industrial products.

The room was cold at night, then I got a cold shower in the morning. Breakfast was poor quality too. Hard to believe this is a 4-star hotel. A very bad experience.
