Case Vacanze Pietragrande

The owners were unbelievably sweet and kind. I asked for a recipe and they gave it to me, then even sent me home with a jar of their homemade green tomato marmalade. The apartments have free shuttle rides to the beach, where each one gets two chairs and an umbrella. The rooms were clean and air-conditioned, though the kitchen and dining room weren't. Breakfast was great, with local food, homemade cakes, and really good coffee included in the price. I'd also recommend staying in for dinner once or twice and ordering the homemade pizza. You can order a drink by the pool too, and the owners bring some local snacks with it. It was beyond perfect.

We’re hoping to come back next year, and plan to arrive by train. Ricadi station is nearby, as are a supermarket and da Fausta, where you can get local vegetables and more. We also liked the nearby restaurant Europa. The Wi-Fi was strong at the front of the building and weaker at the back where our apartment was, but still worked. Pietragrande is run by a lovely, relaxed and kind family. The setting is excellent, near a lovely beach, and we really appreciated the free shuttle as well as the free deck chairs and parasols. We walked down a couple of times, about 10 minutes there and 15 minutes back, and it wasn't strenuous. The sunsets were incredible, and the pool was one of the nicest and cleanest I've ever swum in. Food and drinks were good value too.

We spent 6 Nights here and had a brilliant stay. The apartment, breakfast, and beach were all great, and the people were incredibly friendly, open, and helpful. Mille Grazie!

Pietragrande is run by three generations of one family, and everyone was incredibly nice. The location is quiet with a sea view, and you can reach the beach in a five-minute walk or take the shuttle. Grandfather even pumped up our bikes and adjusted the saddles. You can rent bikes for free. The apartments have everything you need. They're about 10-15 years old, but perfectly fine, and you can make your own breakfast in the morning. It isn't a 5-star hotel, of course, but it has what you need. The small pool is beautifully landscaped, and the whole complex is very clean and well cared for. Everything was just as we imagined and even better. Perfect for a holiday. 5 stars.
