Hotel Residence Sciaron

The room was fantastic, fresh, spotless, and seemed newly renovated. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the patio was a lovely place to have a drink in the evening sun. We only paid for breakfast, which turned out to be a blessing because dinner was rumored to be even worse. Breakfast was basic and forgettable. Dinner, I was told, was a creative mix of leftovers from the previous two days with something new added in. The bar had its own drama. One bartender seemed to dislike us and appeared intent on getting a group of women we knew completely drunk. We swapped drinks with them to help. After they checked out, we got our payback: the drinks we were served were supposed to have lemon slices, but had only lemon peels. The bar ended up being an unplanned comedy show. Next time, we might bring our own bartender.

The pool was really good, and cleanliness itself was fine, but there were ants in the room. The shower swung between scalding hot and really cold water. Breakfast was pretty bad, and there wasn’t any bottled water available then. Staff rolled their eyes, and only one hotel employee spoke English. We had to put drinks and food on the room bill, and were charged for things we hadn’t ordered.

We spent a week here and were very happy with our holiday. The dinners were always incredibly delicious, and the hotel, pool, and room were all clean and nice. The staff were kind, helpful, and professional. Absolutely nothing to criticize. Thank you!

The hotel sits on a slight hill, with panoramic sea views and a fantastic outlook over the beach at Santa Maria. Our room was cleaned every day, and the staff worked incredibly hard to make sure we had a great holiday. It’s in a quiet, traditional part of Italy, with a lovely atmosphere and beautiful beaches and views. We stayed half-board. Breakfast had everything we needed for the day, and we could look at the evening meal and order drinks for later. If you don’t want to go out for lunch, fresh pizza is available for an extra charge by the pool. They were delicious and cost around 8-12 euros depending on the topping. There’s a small hotel minibus to the beaches, though they’re also within walking distance if you’re up for a challenge. My husband and I enjoyed the walk, about 2k there and back.
