Le Gorgoni Tropea

Breakfast on the veranda overlooking the sea, with the countryside quiet around us, was a lovely, energizing way to wake up. Mattia was kind, welcoming, and so attentive to what his guests needed. The room was new, practical, and spotless. We had a short break at this charming place and will be back. Thanks, Mattia!

Mattia deserves the highest praise. He was always available and suggested everything from beaches to restaurants. His hospitality made us fall in love with Calabria, and this place deserves more than a 10! B&B Gorgoni was a wonderful find for our first weekend in Treopea. Privacy is its best feature: each room has its own entrance with a gate and plenty of parking. It has all the comforts, including a smart home, towels, and daily cleaning. Breakfast had lots of choices each morning, including freshly baked croissants. The stunning Baia dei Riaci is nearby, and away from the crowds we slept soundly on a super comfortable mattress.

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They were always helpful and quick to respond whenever we had a question or concern. Our room was very clean and had a beautiful sea view. The location is great, with Tropea only a few minutes away by car and other beaches and towns easy to reach too. We could park right in the courtyard in front of the door, behind an electronic gate. The property is also under video surveillance, so the car and accommodation felt secure. We’d gladly come back and highly recommend it!

I first visited Calabria last August and was lucky to spend a few nights at this B&B. What a lovely discovery! It was exceptionally clean and well placed for getting to Tropea. We could choose breakfast in the afternoon or evening, and it was ready on the veranda as soon as we woke up. My partner and I were especially struck by how kind and helpful the owner was. If nothing unexpected comes up, I really hope to return this summer. Excellent value for money!
