Marinella Beach Apartment

We stayed in the Marinella Beach apartment, which was new and well looked after, with direct access to the private beach. The sunsets there were spectacular, with Stromboli in the background. The main resort and its pool are only a short drive away, and the views there are breathtaking too. We had delicious aperitifs with Michela, who was wonderful, friendly, helpful, and always smiling. If we come back to Capo Vaticano, we’ll stay here again.

Falling asleep to the sound of the sea all day is priceless. The little house was comfortable, and parking was super easy, just a meter from the gate. The beach is right there, practically 0 km away. Some bathroom fittings need attention, the kitchen has only the basics, and that fence along the beachfront is completely forgettable.

The apartments are modern, with a stylish bathroom, a small but functional kitchen, and a washing machine. The air conditioning felt a little weak for the space. As for the “private beach,” we only found out after paying that it had been damaged by the sea over winter and hadn't been repaired by early June. What remained was roughly 4 x 4 meters for the three apartments to share, and it looked like a collapsed rubbish dump. Given that beach situation, I’d rate it two stars.

We meant to stay a couple of days, but after seeing the place we booked a hotel room instead. The house is tiny, thrown together from planks, and split into two parts like a duplex. The grounds are awful, and the ragged fence and gate were especially off-putting. It felt like a barn by the sea.
