Hotel Dory & Suite

The spa they added this year has made the Dory a perfect cycling getaway, and the price is very reasonable. This was my second year in a row having a wonderful week here. The hotel’s food and welcome are second to none, and they have great bikes to rent. I just bring my pedals. The daily guided rides are fantastic. Lovely local riders lead them, so even though I travel solo, I’m always part of a group. In my experience, everyone on those rides has been great company. We climb into the beautiful Emiglia-Romana hills and ride around San Marino, mostly on quiet roads.

The scenery and views were incredible, and the bikes, mechanics, ride leaders, café and food all made this a cycling trip I’ll always remember. Did I mention the food? So good! A huge thank you to Stefano Giuliodori, and to Annia and Marco from Outcast Cycling. Claudio was our guide and made sure we made it up San Marino in one piece. He also kept our 12 year old son from giving up, so we’ll always remember him 😊 If you’re a cyclist from anywhere in the world, you MUST visit this beautiful hotel on Bologna, Italy. It’s set up for cycling+++++ 💗👏✨💖🚴🏼‍♀️

I spent 10 days at Hotel Dory, with the trip built around cycling and seeing a stage of the Giro d’Italia in Cervia. It was a fantastic vacation and went beyond everything I expected. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip, and I’ll be back next year.

A mix of relaxing, history, culture and fun made this a wonderful cycling trip. It was exceptionally well organized and based at a hotel with a great atmosphere, excellent food, and friendly staff. Stefano, the owner, and Gianni, our cycling guide, were great. I’d definitely do this again!
