Aqua Hotel

Rimini has so many great places to eat and explore, which is exactly why we didn’t book a high-quality hotel. We expected to spend most of our time out. The hotel was okay for a 4* place, and the food was acceptable. The restaurant staff were especially friendly and attentive, and we appreciated that. Families with kids should be aware of the charges. A baby cot was €30 per night, and dinner under the half-board plan cost 50€ per day. Even if your child only has a small portion of pasta, you’re charged 50€. We should have checked the message left in our booking account, but it was still disappointing that reception didn’t mention these costs to us. They didn’t have to, I understand, but professional hotel staff usually make additional charges clear. I tried to agree on a more reasonable dinner price for a child, but there was no chance. Charging 50€/dinner for a 3 y.o. who eats a small portion of pasta is ridiculous, though for the hotel it’s just business. We also had half board. It wasn’t bad, but there’s much more choice if you eat outside. Check every bill carefully. We were charged an extra 50€ more than a week ago and still haven’t got the money back. Rimini is beautiful. Choose your hotel carefully.

We’ve just had a five night stay. The hotel is in central Rimini, close to bars and restaurants, and an easy walk to the station and beach. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, always greeting us as we passed. Cosmo at the bar was especially friendly and great to chat with. There’s also a bar and conference facilities, but no gym. Breakfast runs from 7am until 11am and has a wide choice of hot and cold food. The cakes were amazing, though when it got busy they struggled to top things up. Check in was smooth, we got a local map, and they held our bags. They even let us into our room early, which was a nice touch. Our room was spacious and clean, with balcony furniture, a hairdryer in the bathroom, and a well-stocked mini bar at reasonable prices. The shower had good pressure but was cold. The room felt very basic for a 4 star place and could use a few extra touches. The electrical box needs covering because its lights are bright when you’re trying to sleep. There were no local guides or recommendations, and the door didn’t always close properly when we came in or went out. The pool wasn’t open, which was a bit disappointing since it was the main reason we booked. Still, I’d highly recommend a stay in Rimini.

I’m really glad we picked this hotel. When I had a broken foot, the staff arranged a wheelchair for me, and they were friendly and helpful throughout. The place was very clean, the food was very good, and the location was good too. I definitely recommend it.

We had half board and were very pleased with the hotel restaurant, which was top notch. The only downside was the pool: it was too cold for us, especially in the morning when the area was shaded. You’d have to like freezing water to use it then. The hotel is close to the beach, a minimarket, and a pharmacy. A taxi to the airport takes 15 minutes or costs 30 euro. We arrived late in the evening, but reception is open 24/7 and checked us in. All the staff were great and accommodating. Great hotel, and we’ll come back next year if we get the chance.
