Casa Paganello

The sea view is lovely, and the owner was helpful, even getting the hot water fixed on a holiday when finding a technician is difficult. A partial refund was also issued promptly for the problem. Still, we went without hot water for two days because the electric water heater was clogged with limescale and hadn’t been maintained. The apartment wasn’t cleaned well, and there was too little cookware for our large family, so we had to eat out for main meals and faced a lot of unexpected expense. There were expired condiments in the kitchen that, in my view, should have been replaced or removed. I’d suggest putting an extractor hood above the hob, since the main electrical panel is on the wall above it, about 50 cm from the floor. Parking is a long way from the apartment. The mattresses felt a bit uncomfortable to me, though I’m heavy. We couldn’t properly check whether the air conditioning worked effectively because it took so long to start up. The other services provided were good. The payment receipt came as a PDF over WhatsApp, but it didn’t have the owner’s handwritten signature to validate it. In my opinion, this place doesn’t work for two adult couples because there isn’t much privacy. I have limited experience with vacation rentals, and next time I’ll look for somewhere more suitable for a family, with separate rooms for each couple.
