I was at Hotel Cortina in Rimini from August 21 to 28, 2023, after booking through Tez Tour. It wasn't a good experience. Room no. 218 was unacceptable: tiny, with broken furniture, a nonworking safe, rusty details in the bathroom, and old, uncomfortable furnishings. It looked nothing like the photos on the hotel's website. I complained and was moved to room no. 108 only after the tour operator stepped in. That room was small but decent, acceptable for a 3-star hotel. In the days that followed, the owner's behavior became unpleasant. I was repeatedly bothered with complaints that felt unjustified and like harassment, especially towards guests from Eastern Europe. At the same time, Italian guests seemed to have complete freedom. The staff were wonderful, including the maids, cook, and receptionist. They were professional, kind, and worked very hard. The hotel was very clean and the food was good, but the owner's attitude overshadowed their efforts. Poor management and discriminatory treatment left a bad impression, so I wouldn't recommend it, especially to foreign tourists.

The owner’s response to criticism was the worst part. He came across as completely unfriendly and attacked people for leaving notes about their stay instead of trying to be nice to guests. I’d booked a room here, but the owner moved me to another hotel three buildings from Cortina hotel. That place was okay, though the staff weren’t friendly. The coffee machine was kept out of reach, so we had to ask every time we wanted coffee. If I visit Rimini again, I’ll look at other options.

Marco, the owner, was very friendly, and the location is handy, about 10 minutes from the beach. It’s a small, quiet, clean place, nothing luxurious. There’s a free safe and air conditioning that you can control yourself. The food was okay, nothing special. It should suit you if you like pasta and meat, and there was always red or white wine available.

The double room had a decent amount of space, though the bathroom was tiny. The location worked well for the beach, and the station wasn’t too far away.
