Hotel Aurora Mare

The food was varied, plentiful, and delicious, and the hygiene was at a high level. Staff were very friendly, especially Oksana. The hotel is just 50m from the beach. The rooms are small, though you spend most of the day outside anyway. Pleasant hotel, all praise. Parking costs 10 euros per day.

The beach loungers and umbrellas were included, with your spot assigned for the whole stay just a few steps from the hotel. The beach area and loungers were clean and well kept, so everything felt easy and relaxing. We loved the plentiful breakfast buffet, which was refilled as needed, and the fresh coffee, served to us, whether cappuccino or espresso. We spent two unforgettable weeks at Aurora and can only recommend it. The whole hotel was peaceful, and we could hear the sea at night, right outside the door. From our room we had a fantastic beach view and those amazing sunsets. The hotel was extremely clean, well maintained, organized, and felt intimate. The staff were all incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful. We also liked that it was a non-smoking house. A small refrigerator in the room was handy for snacks and drinks, and there’s a well-functioning elevator if stairs are a problem. The location on the long sandy beach was perfect for endless walks and evening sunsets, with views toward the island of Elba. The name “Aurora” means “Light”, and it really suits the place. We don’t speak Italian, but communication wasn’t a problem. We could speak English with Simone, the owner, who was kind and patient and answered our questions before we booked. The hotel is also a great starting point for trying the surrounding restaurants and Tuscan cuisine, and for trips to nearby scenery, villages, and towns. There’s a free parking space in front of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and are looking forward to seeing you again at Aurora.

The staff were cordial and very friendly, and the receptionist was especially kind. We had a pleasant stay and will definitely come back. Aurora Mare is great for a family holiday, with the beach just across the street, about five minutes away. There are shops, local markets, restaurants, and fast food nearby. If you’ve forgotten something, a market on the next street, two minutes away, has everything from drinks and snacks to toiletries, toys, and clothes. The building has been restored, and our room was clean, well equipped, and had a sea view from the balcony. The food was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast had lots of buffet choices, and dinner offered a variety of dishes, a buffet, two courses, and dessert.

We felt great here and had almost nothing to complain about. The hotel is in a great location, and the staff are kind and helpful. Our room could have been a little bigger, especially the shower, but I’d book this place again and recommend it. Special thanks to the nice blond lady running the restaurant. Gracie mille!
