Beach Hotel Clerice

I stayed with my mom from 27.08 to 07.09.2024, in a double room I had booked. It wasn't large, but it had what we needed for a comfortable stay: air conditioning, a little fridge, a TV and a small balcony. The room was clean, and the maids came every day. The bathroom was very clean too. Breakfast was great, with lots of pastries, just right for someone with a sweet tooth like me 😊 The staff were very friendly and supportive. It was nice chatting with Natalia and Aline, who speak Ukrainian. Thanks especially for sorting out a taxi for our early flight. We needed to be at the airport by 6 am. The woman at the front desk ordered one, and a man helped us check out and with our luggage in the morning. You can book a three-course dinner for 15 euros per person at the next hotel, though there are plenty of restaurants in the area too. The free beach is nearby, about a 5-7 minute walk, next to beach 94. The only thing that could be better is the Wi-Fi. It worked great in reception, but could be stronger in the room. Everything else was perfect.

Breakfast and the polite, nice staff were the only good parts. I paid for a room with air conditioning, but it didn't work. I asked the owner to check it, and he said he'd fixed it. I hoped that was true, but it still wasn't working. When I asked him to look again, he insisted it worked, though it clearly didn't. I asked why he was lying about it, and he said nothing, just ran off and never came back. He seemed not to care at all. If you want a room that feels like a free sauna all day while the owner runs away from you, this is the place. Hotel Clerice has some serious problems to sort out and didn't meet my expectations.

The rooms were clean, and they supplied towels, soap, and toilet paper. There’s also someone on security duty at night. My main tip is to use the hotel garage while you’re at the beach, since finding parking nearby is almost impossible. Breakfast was the highlight for me, with lots to pick from, both savory and sweet. There were eggs, bacon, cheese, vegetables, fruit, yogurt, croissants, bread, and juices, plus a coffee machine for espresso, cappuccino, macchiato, American coffee, and other kinds.

It’s near the beach and plenty of restaurants, and there’s air conditioning in the rooms. Breakfast was good, too. If you’re driving, reserve parking ahead of time. It’s extremely hard to find a free spot close by.
