Hotel Crystal

I give it a confident 3 out of 10 within the three-star hotel category, since it wouldn't be fair to compare different levels. The rooms and location aren't the worst, and without these problems it could be recommended as a budget family option. But I wouldn't choose it again, especially since its prices weren't among the lowest for three-star hotels in Rimini. The website gives misleading information. It says there's a private pool, but the pool is at a nearby hotel across the street. It also lists a restaurant, while there isn't one. There's only a dining room for breakfast. Dinner means going to another restaurant around the corner on the next street. Breakfast was always limited and repetitive, nothing like the website photos. The only hot items were omelets and fried sausages, and there were usually very few, so you had to wait for another batch. There was sliced cheese and ham, plus some vegetables and fruit. Only one of the two coffee machines worked, so getting coffee meant a 15-20 minute queue. There was no tea at all. Wi-Fi worked reliably on the ground floor and a little less well on the second floor, where the offices and dining room were. There was no connection on the second or higher residential floors. The rules said linens would be changed once every four days, but that didn't happen either. I had to ask for fresh towels and bed linen. Parking was practically unavailable: there were only five spaces, two of which were used by the hotel's own employees. Most surprising and unpleasant was the director of the otol, as the employees called him. Unlike his subordinates, he was unwelcoming and arrogant, and spoke to guests in an unfriendly way. He didn't even bother to answer a question.

The hotel was generally clean, the meals were quite good, and the pool was well maintained. But the staff didn't understand English, and internet was only available at reception, not in the rooms.

Wouldn't recommend it. The service was very unpleasant, and the food was poor. The rooms were dirty, the toilet was broken, and housekeeping lost my T-shirt in the laundry. Very disappointing.

Good hospitality and tasty food, with a nice location close to the beach. Great value for the money.
