Hotel Paola Garden

The room was cleaned every day, and the bathroom was completely new, though small. Breakfast had plenty of sweet and savory options, but some weren't the best quality. It's all self-service, including drinks, coffee, cappuccino, and tea. The same staff work in the dining room and at reception. The air conditioning only put out a little air, not a cool breeze. We were also asked to pay for the entire stay on the morning we arrived, which had never happened to us before. We were told only on arrival, with no prior email or phone call, that parking at the hotel costs €15 per day and that half-board dinner is served at another establishment outside Paola Garden Hotel. The property is close to the beach. Beach umbrellas and loungers cost €17 per day, but there's relatively little nightlife or to do nearby. You'll need public transport to get to nicer, more central areas.

Breakfast wasn't especially extensive, which made sense in low season when there were about four of us in each room. Still, the products were high quality and there was enough for a hearty breakfast. The outdoor space was pleasant, and the staff were friendly and always available. The hotel feels like it dates from the 1980s, but it's well maintained. My room was comfortable and clean, with a newly renovated, very functional bathroom. I'd stay here again.

We stayed three nights over the weekend of June 13th to 16th, three people in all. The owner was very kind and helpful, and always around the property. We also got excellent recommendations for places to eat. We'll be back. The location is strategic, just a 5-minute walk from the sea. Our simple room had a nice, large balcony and a clean, new bathroom. The shower pressure was excellent, something I always mention because low pressure at some hotels can be unpleasant. Alberto
